Kalene Designs is the inspiration and creation of jewelry designer Charlene Gove. Charlene, born in Hawaii, derives the company name from her Hawaiian heritage and her name in Hawaiian. After a successful career in business, Charlene began making beaded jewelry for friends and family in 1998 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her jewelry has been sold at art galleries and craft stores. She also has displayed and sold her beaded jewelry in various arts and crafts festivals, town fairs, and area celebrations throughout Northern and Central California.

Charlene creates and makes all the jewelry for Kalene Designs. She has attended numerous bead classes to learn various techniques in design, creativity, texture, materials and color. She thanks her instructors for their patience and inspiration. Charlene has traveled domestically and internationally to purchase her various collections of beads.
